WRITER/PRODUCER/CO-FOUNDER OF ANGRY BAIRDS
Nazish Khan is Artistic Director for a London based think-tank and co-founder of Angry Bairds. She has an LLB, the LPC and an MA in Scriptwriting from City University, London. Nazish has a love of vintage typewriters, mismatched chairs and sparkly people. Her first play ‘Pole Factor’ explored extremism through the obsessive faith of the celebrity. It received five stars and was sold out at both the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2013 and the Vault Festival 2014. Her upcoming play DEADLY DIALOGUES explores the different radicalisation processes through a range of highly charged journeys.
She is the writer on CHOKE as part of the 48 Hour Film Project 2016 and is currently developing EAT ZAGI and WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE 2017. She spends her time between London and Amsterdam and consulting on numerous artistic projects involving extremism and radicalisation, such as the award winning short film #Notanotherbrother and a live performance at De Balie.
