EAT Zagi posterProphet to Palestine, Holocaust to hummus... This is a Jewish and Muslim artistic collaboration between JW3, Angry Bairds Theatre, Unity, St. Michaels & All Angels Church and supported by the Church of England through the Near Neighbours Fund.

In a climate of fear and uncertainty this is an artistic response to prejudices with the aim to create dialogue and understanding between disengaged groups from the same local community.

The story: Zee Islam is Muslim and Gabi Israel is Jewish, EAT ZAGI is their pop up designed to bring their respective Muslim and Jewish communities together. That’s until their friends and family show up and drama, secrets and prejudices unfold over falafel and baklava.

Near Neighbours – Working to bring people together who are near neighbours in communities that are religiously and ethnically diverse so that they can get to know each other.

Unity - A multi-faith initiative to bring Muslim and Jewish families together in North London to foster unity and hope in our community.

St. Michaels & All Angels Church – in Mill Hill, reflects the glorious diversity of the local community and promotes equality for all people regardless of ethnicity, sexuality, gender, age, social background, disability or marital status.

Quilliam – A London based counter-extremism think tank with an inspiring theologian team and committed to grassroots interfaith work.

JW3 – opened in 2013, is a state-of-the-art community and cultural venue in West Hampstead, a charity established for the benefit of the Jewish community, the local community, and for the people of London. Designed by Lifschutz Davidson Sandilands, JW3 houses a 270-seat auditorium, a 60-seat cinema, a demonstration kitchen, dance studios, classrooms and Zest, JW3’s in-house restaurant and bar.

ZEST is the restaurant, café and bar at JW3. Its ambition is to be the home of modern, kosher Jewish cooking. Zest prides itself on serving modern, Sephardic middle-eastern cuisine.
